Aftermarket Project Manager.
Overseeing a wide range of engineering projects.
£40k - £45k basic salary & car allowance & benefits

This major manufacturer of special purpose equipment has experienced a rapidly increasing workload which has seen their current resources stretched beyond capacity. With new projects to be undertaken over the next few years, it is imperative that they have the project management capability to ensure delivery of the projects on time and to budget. As a result of this there is an immediate requirement for a permanent project manager to oversee the delivery of projects to their clients.

The role of an Aftermarket Project Manager will involve:
1. Responsible for the delivery of aftermarket projects
2. Delivery on a wide range of projects from new product introduction, new manufacturing processes, service, IT Integration and solution led projects.
3. Plan and monitor the projects overall process.
4. Manage skilled resource within the business working on specific projects.
5. Ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget with the correct level of quality.
6. Co-ordinate activity with all internal departments.
7. Senior level role which will require complete business justification for the projects.
8. Responsible for a number of manufacturing/aftermarket projects across a number of facilities across the world.
9. Regular tracking of KPI\'s and achieving continuous improvement.
10. Responsible for project expenditure.
11. Minimise exposure to liabilities and maximise any opportunity to improve project margins.

The successful applicant must possess the following:
1. Engineering degree.
2. Project management experience within an engineering environment. Used to managing major projects.
3. Structured project planning capability.
4. Prince 2 Qualified, MS Projects knowledge.
5. Service experience in offshore, industrial power, marine, automotive, aerospace or heavy engineering.
6. Relationship builder.
7. Able to co-ordinate, manage and lead resource internally.
8. Ability to present at board level.
9. Strong negotiation skills.
10. Able to communicate on a technical & commercial level both internally and with the customer.
11. Attention to detail.
12. Hard working and diligent individual.
13. Outgoing, drive, determination, confident, desire to progress either technically or into man management.
