Project Manager.
Project Management of a wide range of NPI and business improvement projects.
£30k - £40k Basic Salary - Based Derby
This major manufacturer of Aerospace components has experienced a rapidly increasing workload which has seen their current resources stretched beyond capacity. With new projects to be undertaken over the next few years, it is imperative that they have the project management capability to ensure delivery of the projects on time and to budget. As a result of this there is an immediate requirement for a permanent project manager to oversee the delivery of projects to their clients.
The role of a Project Manager will involve:
Projects will range from NPI, internal business improvement projects, specification change/modification projects and work transfer projects.
1. Define the project with the client and establish expectations and agree a process to achieve these.
2. Define the scope, terms of reference, objectives, deliverables and measures.
3. Establish budget and monitoring process.
4. Develop a resourcing plan.
5. Establish line management of resource.
6. Establish measures, reviews, escalation criteria and structure.
7. Communicate internally to ensure the project is delivered.
8. Negotiate with client if the project varies or the price escalates.
9. Problem solving on the project when issues arise.
10. Build relationships both internally and externally.
11. Will be required to work across the UK and Worldwide.
The successful applicant must possess the following:
1. Previous NPI/client project management experience within an Aerospace business.
2. Track record in delivery of projects on time and to budget. Systematic approach to project management.
3. Structured project planning capability (Prince 2 would be a bonus).
4. Relationship builder.
5. Able to liaise internally.
6. Strong negotiation skills.
7. Able to communicate on a technical & commercial level both internally and with the customer.
8. Attention to detail
9. Able to look over documents and identify potential issues.
10. Hard working and diligent individual.
11. Outgoing, drive, determination, confident, desire to progress either technically or into man management.
