Salary - £30k - £40k + private healthcare + pension

The Role: Within the remit of your role you will essentially co-ordinate a small team of maintenance engineers throughout your shift. You will be involved in organising workload for the engineers whilst leading the team on the production floor. You will lead appraisals and performance reviews to improve the engineers within the team. You will also deal with complex problem solving when the maintenance team can not solve the fault, as hands on electro-mechanical maintenance will be part of the role. You will be in charge of completing planned and reactive maintenance as well as achieving machine availability targets. You will also have to ensure the smooth handover of work to the next shift as well attending regular meetings with other co-ordinators and managers. You can have electrical or mechanical bias and must have managerial or supervisory experience to fulfil this role. Technical ability will be seen as a given so your attitude and experience in this area is vitally important. As a skilled and meticulous Production Maintenance Co-ordinator you will be well organised and capable of working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
The Candidate:
- Maintenance background
- Supervisory/Management/Co-ordination experience
- Experience completing planned maintenance
- Understanding of Lean or Six Sigma principles
- Experience working within a fast moving manufacturing environment i.e. food, pharmaceutical, automotive etc
- Engineering qualification (either bias, pref HNC)
