Controls Engineer

Shifts – 4on 4off

Salary - £45,000 (OTE £450) + overtime + 20 days of Holiday + pension + training

Training - Official Rockwell automation

Benefits - Pension 6% - 9%

Healthcare - covers immediate family

The Company

Our client specialises in the packaging industry and supplies in to some of the most recognised brands in the world. This multi-sited group have sites all over the glove and the comanies turnover is in the billions and this is only expected to grow more over the coming years.

Established over 100 years the business has gone from strength to strength and is proud of its origins.

The business employ over 200 people and take a keen interest in local affairs, with strong links to local colleges and schools plus social events for employees. Thanks to this approach the company have an excellent staff retention ratio.

The Role

Due to their continued growth, the company now require an additional three controls engineers to join an already established team. Each shift will have three controls engineers. 

The controls engineer will be required to do both reactive and PPM work on Allen Bradley PLCs. Also, a major part of this role is project work from CI through to installations and commissioning, you will have the autonomy to improve the site.

The site has broad range of production equipment and the controls engineer will need to maintain all production line including conveyors, washers, ovens, pallatiser, printers, sprayers and other machinery.

The Candidate

To be successful in your application you must have the following skills or attributes:

  • Must have a recognised electrical qualification
  • Strong PLC knowledge, the site use Allen Bradley but other experience will be considered
  • Excellent fault finding skills
  • A can-do attitude
