The Company
My client is a well-known and highly regarded engineering company with a history of providing employment within the area for over 200 years. With a team currently consisting of c150 staff, they are experiencing huge growth and are aiming to double their turnover in the next three years.
The company employs 140 staff of which 80 are employed in professional engineering role across software, process, electrical and mechanical disciplines. The company are experiencing huge growth in large-scale projects won and anticipate they will turn over c£70 million in 2021.
The company are looking to recruit a Document Co-ordinator to join the Quality department with the responsibility of putting together technical dossiers required for customers to show that they have manufactured to the right standards and gives full traceability for them.
The Role
The Document Co-ordinator collects all the technical documentation required for customers and collates it into a data dossier to show traceability of all parts of the manufacturing process.
Documents that go into the dossier/technical construction files include:
- Technical specifications
- Declaration of conformity of materials
- Technical drawings
- Weld qualifications
- Records of calibrations
Manufacturing around 40 pieces of special purpose equipment a year; each dossier can take up to 1 week to complete therefore a good attention to detail and the ability to self-motivate and chase internally and externally for information is a must for this role.
The Person
To be successful in your application for this Document Co-ordinator vacancy you will need:
Keen eye for detail
- Self-starting/motivated
- Previous experience in a role collating masses of documents into data packs
- Ideally experienced working within an environment where a product is manufactured with drawings (though this is not essential)
