Our client is a global, manufacturer of lifting and material processing products. Our client is part of many industries from Construction to quarrying and mining. Despite Covid-19 the company managed to turnover £20M. Our client manufactures many products (Crushers, Forklift General Large engineering equipment Mining and quarrying equipment – yellow goods). The role of a Mechanical Site Fitter will involve the following

  • Reporting to the production supervisor at the Coalville site. The successful candidate will be responsible for fault finding, diagnostics, wiring machines on a factory production lines including hydraulic and mechanical assembly fitting.  
  • Trouble shooting software and electrical faults
  • Ensure all paperwork is up to date
  • Reading of electrical drawings.
  • £14.50 p/h. 6.30am – 2.30pm (Monday – Thursday) 6.30am – 2pm (Friday)Overtime paid at 1.5x
  • Contract length – 6 Months with potential to become permanent

The Mechanical Site Fitter will need the following skills

  • A Third Level Electrical Engineering Qualification or Vocational Time Served Electrical Qualification including City and Guilds 18th Edition
  • Experience of 3-Phase and 12-24VDC electrical control systems
  • Ability to read, understand electrical schematic and engineering drawings
  • Full Driving License
  • Good work ethic
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • To get to the site on their own
  • Reliable and hard working. Willing to grow and progress with company
  • Knowledge of automotive electrical and hydraulic schematics is desirable
  • Electrical Fault Finding experience is also desirable
