Electrical Maintenance Engineer
3-Month Contract (likely extension)
Location: Castleford, Wakefield, W. Yorks.
Rate: £35.00p/h (Limited - Outside IR35)
Shifts: Panamas (Rotating days/nights, every other weekend)
Recycling / Industrial Process
Our client is a nationally recognised recycling company, supplying recycled materials back into industry for manufacture. They are looking for an experience Maintenance Electrician to join their engineering team, offering support and guidance to the wider team were needed,
The role of Electrical Maintenance Engineer will involve the following:
- Reactive breakdowns & PPM work
- Fault find and repair on capital equipment including conveyors, extruders and sorting machinery, large shafts and motors etc
- Electrical fault finding, - 24 vault control (wires – a lot of issues) motors 243 phase 415.
- PLCs – inputs and outputs
- Schematics and engineering drawings – need to be able to read drawings
- Trouble shoot, find a solution, repair safely, set parameters and make improvements
- Work to required H&S and quality processes
As Electrical Maintenance Engineer you will need the following skills and attributes:
- Electrical engineering Time served apprentice trained or NVQ L3 required
- Fairly heavy, industrial process environment – reactive / work under pressure
- Pro-active, driven, ability to work independently, take control of issues and lead electrical problems
- Attention to detail, suggest improvements
- Industrial production/process industry experience (ideally recycling/ waste management / steel etc)
