Electronics Design and development engineer / senior engineer
£30,000 - £45,000 + Pension + 33 Days Holiday + ½ day Friday
Based in West Yorkshire
The Company:
Part of a larger group, this company is a market leader in the design and manufacture of bespoke lighting and control systems focusing predominantly on the rail industry. The products use state of the art technology and provide unique functionality to their customers.
Required Experience:
- Working on high value projects from concept design through prototype build and test, full scale manufacturing, and customer handover.
- The bulk of the work is analogue / power supply design, looking at switch mode power supplies, DC to DC convertors, integrated circuit design and schematics.
- Liaise with the mechanical design team to understand how the electronics integrate with the rest of the system.
Required Experience:
The electronics design and development engineer will have the following skills and experience:
- Graduate calibre Electronics engineer.
- Experience in power electronics design - ideally with SMPS design experience or DC to DC convertors.
- Ability to progress projects from concept design through to manufacturing
- This is a customer facing role so communication and organisational skills are extremely important
