Location: Northamptonshire, Corby or Kettering region

 

Are you a HR Manager looking to work for a forward-thinking, growing and finically secure business within the engineering and manufacturing sector? If so, I have a fantastic opportunity for a HR Manager to join a business that has grown from humble beginnings into a UK powerhouse, supplying high-end products to their customers around the UK and overseas.

 

Having recruited for this business on many occasions, I can honestly say they are a true investor in their employees, as well as having the financial capabilities to improve the business and operations to support growth.

 

Over the past 7 years, two new sites have been set up, they have invested in new equipment as well as software to support all business services. Now this business is at a critical stage where the new HR Manager will join the company not only to be responsible for all HR related activities, however, to support the senior leadership team in developing a new infrastructure to take the business to the next stage of their growth plans.

 

The role of the HR Manager will be as follows:

 

  • To manage all HR related activities across a multi-site operation reporting directly to the Director
  • Provide effective and clear leadership as well as training, coaching, mentoring and upskilling your HR team
  • Working with internal Managers to improve staff wellbeing, retention and to work closely on attracting talent to support future growth
  • Identifying and setting up training and development for all staff
  • Manage the provision of effective data collection on staff ensuring that relevant information is gathered, collated, disseminated and, when necessary, acted upon
  • Ensure HR processes and procedures are being adhered to safeguard the wellbeing of employees and the business
  • Review and update HR processes and procedures and to ensure they are up to date with employment law and legislation
  • Review and manage HR matters such as; shift patterns, rates of pay, competitor analysis for attraction and retention projects
  • Resources – headcount assessments, recruitment, restructures and redundancies
  • Outline a “Rising Star Academy” to highlight the future talent
  • Developing, improving and implementing human resources policies
  • Enhance safety and wellness, strengthen relationships between staff, teams and employees, manage job satisfaction, attract the best recruits and promote the organisation’s values

 

Experience & background required for the role of HR Manager:

 

  • An experienced HR Manager
  • The ideal person would have worked in engineering or manufacturing, however, this is not a perquisite
  • A qualification such as CIPD level 7, Bachelors or Master’s in human resources management
  • Possess a high work ethic and excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of labour regulations, HR practices and policies
  • Strong organisation and interpersonal skills whilst having the ability to work in an environment with diverse cultures
  • Strong leadership expertise, the strength of character, people’s person and success-driven
  • Commutable or based in Northamptonshire
