Ata are supporting a global FMCG business recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Coordinator to join their team in Leicester. The business who operates within 50 countries around the globe are a specialist within the manufacturing of creative packaging solutions and are a household name in many markets, including retail, consumer and food and beverage. The company truly are a giant of the industry and will produce 130 billion units per annum, giving them an output of around £6 billion worth of net sales.
This site in Leicester have been in operation for the last 40 years employ over 240 staff and boast an impressive portfolio of manufactured goods. These goods are some of UKs most recognisable brands of which have become a staple part of British homes shopping lists. With a turnover eclipsing £170 million the business is going from strength to strength and are set to grow even further in 2021 due to investment of new production lines.
About the role
As a maintenance coordinator you will be responsible for planning and coordinating all maintenance activities within a fast-paced process environment. You will be responsible for providing a large engineering team their schedule for that day, including preventative maintenance, scheduled downtime, and project work. You will have the responsibility of writing critical breakdown, OEE, and reliability reports and then presenting this to senior management within the group.
- Organising and managing site shutdown periods.
- Managing critical stock control
- Managing the work management & CMMS system.
- Utilising engineers and resource in the most effective way.
- Managing a centralised engineering budget.
- Managing external contractors, checking they have the correct RAMMS, PPE, work permits and setting up SLA contracts.
About you
To be considered for this maintenance coordinator position you must have the following:
- Previous experience as a hands-on engineer
- Experience working as a maintenance coordinator
- Experience managing a CMMS system
- Experience managing a team to complete maintenance
- Experience with organising and managing site shutdown periods
- Engineering qualification
- Self-starter attitude.
- It would be beneficial for you to have worked within a FMCG/Automated factory environment.
