About the client
ATA are supporting a large manufacturing group at one of their flagship sites in the west Peterborough area. The group who operates within the industrial sector have multiple sites across the UK, employ over 2000 staff and boast a portfolio of manufactured goods second to none. These goods are some of UKs most recognisable brands of which have become a staple part of the British construction market.
The company have shown how robust they are, quickly recovering from the mist of the COVID19 pandemic, withstanding the pressure of the increased energy prices and standing strong in challenging times for the UK economy. In fact, the group have been able to invest in well over £130million across their plants since the start of 2023.
This role would suit engineers that are of mechanical bias.
About the role
As a maintenance engineer you will be responsible for completing planned preventative maintenance, reacting to breakdowns, and completing remedial repair work in a busy manufacturing environment. This would be on heavy and automated plant machinery, including, robotics, presses, hydraulics, rotating equipment and more.
- Mechanical fault finding using various methods (Drawings, PLC, Multimeter)
- Swapping mechanical components like for like & Stripping and rebuilding of mechanical components.
- The ability to weld and fabricate will be beneficial.
- Utilising the Piranha CMMS.
The company are working towards making the site more efficient so are adopting LEAN manufacturing processes on site, therefor you will be involved project work and making production improvements to achieve TPM.
About you
To be considered for this maintenance engineer role you should be/have the following:
- Experience working within a factory environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge
- Be comfortable working in an industrial or heavy environment.
- Strong knowledge of H&S
- Be happy to work on a days and night’s rotation
- You should hold a recognised level 3 (or above) mechanical qualification city and guilds, NVQ, BTEC, HND, HNC.
