A well-established manufacturing business is looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team in Birmingham.

This is a highly reactive maintenance role where the Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for keeping a wide range of manufacturing machinery running efficiently across a busy production site.

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Reactive breakdown maintenance across production machinery and plant equipment
  • Working on rollers, strippers, formers, extruders, steamers and pressers
  • Supporting machine uptime within a fast-paced manufacturing environment

What We’re Looking For

To be considered for this Maintenance Engineer position, you should have:

  • A recognised engineering qualification equivalent to a Level 3 or above (NVQ, City and Guilds, BTEC, ONC, HNC etc.)
  • Previous experience within manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Ability to work independently within a highly reactive maintenance environment

What’s On Offer?

  • £56,000 salary
  • Average earnings around £65,000 with overtime
  • 6% pension scheme
  • Enhanced overtime rates at 1.3x and 1.5x
  • 33 days holiday equating to 22 shifts
