We are supporting a manufacturing business who are on their search for a maintenance engineer to join their established manufacturing plant in Leicester.
As our client is one of the largest manufacturers across the UK, their turnover has been increasing year on year, with their production reaching over 100 million units annually from multiple sites. As well as this, the business is a leader in energy efficiencies, with their machinery being amongst the most energy efficient in Europe.
Although there is uncertainty round the world in manufacturing, our client has seen an increase in their business around the UK and in turn have invested heavily into their own sites. So, this is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer to join a stable and growing business, that have been going strength to strength over the last five years.
About the Role
As a maintenance engineer you will be responsible for completing ppm, reacting to breakdowns, and completing remedial repair work across a busy manufacturing site. Hands on the work will be a mix of electrical and mechanical tasks.
As part of the role, you will need to be confident fault finding using a Multimeter and reading electrical drawings. This would be on medium to heavy plant machinery, including 3 phase equipment (415v), conveyors, industrial rollers, and bespoke machinery specific to this site. You will be responsible for fault finding on automated machinery, this would be through various methods, including through PLCs.
About you
To be considered for this maintenance engineer opportunity, you should have experience working within a factory environment, preferably within medium to heavy industry.
• Must have an Electrical Engineering qualification
• Experience reacting to breakdowns.
• Experience with fault finding
• Happy to work alone and at times within a small engineering team
