The business was founded over 110 years ago supplying vegetables to various markets, but through natural growth and acquisition they have become one the leading business in the UK market.

The company are also very keen on developing their staff and have recently sent their current engineering teams away on coursing for new bespoke machinery and to help fill gaps in the team. They are also upgrading their current plant by installing brand new automated equipment.

The Role

The business currently has need of a Maintenance Engineer to join their established team. The department is running very reactivity now so this would be a great role for someone who likes working on breakdowns and exploring reasons behind issues. The role is roughly 50% mechanical and 50% electrical. Although all the lines are PLC controlled, the Multiskilled Maintenance Engineers would not need to go into the code and make any adjusts as they have outside contractors come in regularly. It would be ideal if you have experience working with either, Siemens, Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi.

The Candidate

  • Working experience as a Maintenance Engineer.
  • Must be able to fault find on Mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Must be able to read electrical drawings and fault find on PLC systems.
