Role: Maintenance Engineer
Package: £42k - £46k + OT
Shifts: Panama 3’s and 2’s days and nights (shift will become double days in 2023)

The Company
My clients are a leading manufacturer of specialised building materials for the retail, wholesale, and government sectors. Established almost 100 years ago, the company have a strong footing in manufacturing many different products globally while supplying diverse applications within the construction industry. In the UK alone, their annual turnover is more than £300 million and in the last 2 years the engineering function on this site has grown by more than 3x. Due to this success and the ongoing expansions an exciting opportunity has opened for a maintenance engineer to join the skilled engineering team and further develop their skills while working for a respected and well-established business.
The Role
This maintenance engineer role will involve:
- Reactive and PPM work on various state of the art automated systems such as conveyors, mixers, silos, packaging machines, baggers, fillers, and robots.
- Electrical responsibilities including fault finding and working with sensors, relays, contactors, and control panels along with swapping like for like components.
- Mechanical responsibilities include replacing like for like components such as valves, pumps, bearings, belts, hydraulics, pneumatics, chains, and rollers.
- Working on a shift pattern of panamas days and nights 12 hour shifts until the new year when the shift will change to a double day’s shift pattern.
The Candidate
To be successful in the application for this maintenance engineer role you will need:
- Recognised mechanical or electrical qualification.
- Confidence in fault finding on electrical and mechanical components.
- To work well within a team.
- Be flexible to work 12-hour shifts, days, and nights.
