Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer – West Yorkshire
2-3 month contract
£25.00 - £28p/h DOE

I am recruiting exclusively for a key client based near Wakefield, West Yorks who are a nationally recognised Food manufacturer. They are looking for Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer mechanically biased, to assist with general maintenance work, working mornings and afternoons, 6-2/2-10, Monday to Friday.
For this position, you will require to conduct the following duties:
v Reactive maintenance with PPM in between, mainly on mechanical automated machinery, conveyors, wieghers, palletisers & handling equipemnt, but some basic fault-find and replacement of electrical parts as well
v Fixing fast paced industrial production machinery (gears/motors/conveyors/bearings etc)
v Working safely and make recommendations for improvements
The successful person will need to have the following attributes:
v Good experience with LEAN and Continuous Improvement principles
v Health and Safety awareness
v Able to work autonomously, with a ‘right first time’ mentality
v Experience within general fast paced manufacturing production environments
v Strong communication and interpersonal skills working alongside production staff and shift supervisors
v Mechanical engineering full apprenticeship or qualified ideally to NVQ L3
