About the company
My client, a specialist within component manufacturing for the aerospace, automotive and agricultural markets are looking for a maintenance fitter with a strong mechanical background to join their team. The company, who have a history spanning over 150 years are a true world leader within their field & over the last few years seen their business go from strength to strength.
About the role
Providing breakdown cover and completing planned preventive maintenance on a busy production site that produces and distributes products on a B2B basis. You will be responsible for supporting the already 20 strong maintenance team with keeping breakdown time to a minimum and improving machine efficiency on all plant machinery which includes, Kuka Robots, Induction furnaces, overhead cranes, CNC machinery and press forges.
Further responsibilities include;
- Mechanical fault finding
- Component strip and rebuild & Hot swap like for likes.
- Machine installation, upgrades and continuous improvement.
- Compliance and health and safety
- Critical stock control
As a maintenance fitter you should have the following:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience.
- Strong fault-finding skills.
- A methodical mindset, with the ability to problem solve and adapt with short notice.
- The ability to work within a proactive nature.
- Ideally you will have experience working within a Heavy, Industrial, Aerospace or Automotive environment.
