Maintenance Improvements Manager
£40,000-£60,000 + package
Based in North Yorkshire
The Company:
A well established and rapidly growing food manufacturing business is looking for a maintenance improvements manager to drive standards and improve maintenance performance across the business.
This is an extremely fast paced production facility that makes instantly recognisable food brands and own label products for major supermarkets.
This company has a highly skilled maintenance team and capital projects department that work closely to keep production and packaging machinery working at a high output.
The Role:
- Reporting to the site engineering manager your role is to develop maintenance strategies that will reduce machine downtime and ultimately increase production across the entire site
- Analyse current ppm system and use of CMMS to highlight areas for improvement
- Work as a mentor to the maintenance department looking at root cause analysis of reoccurring faults and breakdowns
- Empower the maintenance engineers to drive their own projects and create a culture of continuous improvements
- Identify bottlenecks in production and put projects in place to engineer them out
- Work with the maintenance and projects department to understand and improve OEE
Required Experience:
- The ideal maintenance improvements manager will first and foremost have come from a hands-on maintenance background and be apprentice trained
- You could be a senior maintenance engineer, reliability engineer or asset care engineer looking for the next step in your career
- Or you might be an experience maintenance, projects, or engineering manager with a specific interest in process improvement and people development
- Experience within CI, TPM, RCA, RCM, FMEA, or other relevant maintenance related strategies is a distinct advantage
- You must be an excellent communicator and influencer and be able to use your personality and motivation to get people to buy into what you are trying to do
- You must be from a fast pace manufacturing background, ideally food or similar
