Based in South Derbyshire
3-6 Months, £20 per hour (PAYE)
This well-established project management company is at the forefront of technology within the UK process industry. Over the last 12 months this company has experienced excellent growth and have won several projects which has resulted in the need to rapidly expand their headcount. The project team’s workload has increased and there is a real need to maintain the quality of service to its clients. As a result, this company needs to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer immediately on a 3-month contract. The role of a Mechanical Design Engineer will involve:

Mechanical Designs in 2D & 3D CAD, engineering designs using AutoCAD & Autodesk Inventor

Producing P&ID’s (Process & Instrumentation Diagrams) and Isometrics in CAD for the Process Engineering Department
- Production of process layouts of pressure vessels, tanks, plant and pipework & isometrics using CAD
- Making modifications to initial concepts
- Capability to identify problems and to solve them in a methodical way
- Site surveys
- Modify flow sheets & change any symbols
- Produce Bills of Material in conjunction with the drawings
The Mechanical Design Engineer will need to have the following experience:

Mechanical Design Engineer in a process environment

Experience in a process type environment – Water, Petro-chemical, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Food and Dairy
- Experienced in 2D AutoCAD / 3D AutoCAD or Autodesk Inventor
- Must have the experience of designing process plant / tanks. Pipework systems.
