Mechanical Design Engineer – Cheshire
3-month contract – Umbrella/PAYE (Inside IR35)
Rate £33.00-37.00p/h DOE
AutoCAD Plant 3D / design / plant layouts / GA’s
I am currently recruiting on behalf of a key client based in Warrington, who are global leaders in the supplying of systems and components to the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries. They operate in the design, and bespoke manufacturing of machinery, plant, and advanced process technology. Due to new project wins, they are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team on an interim basis. Initially this contract/project is for 3 months, but likely to be further extended.
The successful mechanical design engineer will be required to conduct the following duties:
v Use of AutoCAD Plant 3D – will consider AutoPlant 3D / PDMS
v Design and draft plant layouts, and general arrangements, meeting project requirements
v Ensuring CAD drawings are on time and up to standard
v Highlight design issues or snagging issues immediately to the Design Manager
The successful mechanical design engineer will need to have the following attributes:
v Knowledge of process plant - food / beverage
v Strong mechanical engineering background - able to come up with ideas and engineering solutions to problems
v AutoCAD Plant 3D highly desirable
v Excellent communications skills with both colleagues and clients
v A team player, professional and keen eye for detail
