Mechanical Design Engineer
Design of Vessels / Pipework / Process Enquipment
£25 - £35 per hour PAYE / £30 - £40 per hour Umbrella– Inside IR35
3-month initial contract with possible extensions.
This well-established manufacturer is the market leader in its sector and following some significant project wins, they are going through a rapid growth phase. The company is currently working on a variety of projects that require the design of multiple vessels and tanks. The role of a Vessel Design Engineer will involve the following:
- Take the brief from an internal contact or the client
- Create all the 2D and 3D drawings for the Vessel using Autodesk Inventor
- Formulate a BOM’s and all the required material sheets
- Liaise with procurement and external suppliers to purchase the parts required
- Vessels are 3mm-12mm / Stainless Steel / All ancillary equipment will also need to be detailed
- Working to ASME 8 / DIV 1 / PD5500
The Vessel Design Engineer will need to have the following experience:
- Competent in the use of Autodesk Inventor
- Previous experience in the design of vessels and tanks / process equipment and pipework
- Able to create material sheets and liaise with the supply chain to procure materials and parts
- Excellent communication skills
