Role – Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location – Leeds
Salary - £37k
Hours – 40-hour week – double days
Holidays – 25 plus Bank Holiday and 2-week Christmas shutdown period.

The company
A vacancy has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to work as part of a multi skilled team of onsite engineers for a leading industrial manufacturing firm in Leeds, West Yorkshire. You will carry out day to day planned and reactive maintenance on electrical furnaces, welding machines, rotating machines, shafts bearings, motors, rollers and much more.
The role of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Ensure all Mechanical systems are working effectively and responding to mechanical and emergency breakdowns.
Other Responsibilities:
- Follow the companies PPM schedules
- Fault find both electrically and mechanically
- repair and replace mechanical components such as bearings, shafts, motors, gearboxes, pumps
Requirements of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
- NVQ Level 3 qualification or apprentice trained Mechanically
- To be able to fault find mechanically from day one and can read drawings
- Experience of working in a high speed/FMCG or industrial manufacturing setting
- Knowledge or experience of working on; air systems, pneumatics and pumps
- Motivates, team player and flexible in your work
