The Company:
ATA Recruitment are working with a large multinational manufacturing business that are going through an extended period of growth. They design and manufacture special purpose machinery that is installed all over the word.
The Role:
Based out of their UK HQ in Leeds the production manager will be responsible for:
- Managing a multi-disciplined team of machine builders, panel wirers and fabricators.
- All first line management duties including recruitment, discipline, training, development,
- You will be managing all day-to-day operations within a workshop environment and also be looking at strategies to help the business grow longer term
- Health & Safety is a key part of this role
- Working closely with the projects department to ensure the products are made to the highest standards and within agreed timescales
- Process improvements to reduce build lead times
Required Experience:
- The successful production manager will have experience in managing multi-disciplined teams within a manufacturing environment
- You must be a strong leader with who can implement processes
- H&S focus is a must
- A strong character who can drive improvements across the department
- An excellent communicator that can organise a team and work well with the SMT
