Established for over 25 years, my client is a market leader in the supply of process engineering systems to a variety of sectors such as Marine, Water, Energy, Food, Beverage, O&G, Renewables and many more.

The Role

The primary function of this Sales Order Process Specialist is to work alongside the sales and quotations team and be responsible for the management of the entire process post sales.

Key responsibilities:

  • Updating spreadsheets for sales order processing
  • Assist with the creation of part numbers for quotes
  • Creating the daily order report of all sales orders processed for aftermarket from the previous day and advising of any stock issues etc
  • Processing of all sales orders onto SAP through the Aftermarket in box and providing order confirmations with correct dispatch dates
  • Liaising with procurement and warehouse to ensure the sales orders are dispatched in full and on time in accordance with the dates within the SAP system
  • Keeping customers up to date with shipments/unavailable stock items and managing the customers’ expectations
  • Gathering the required information for new customer account creation as & when required.  Using the online tools Amber Road and MDG for creation of new customer accounts and delivery addresses
  • Maintaining accurate databases 
  • Providing holiday cover
  • Assist with gathering all relevant documentation to ensure efficient dispatch/invoicing can be completed
  • Day to day administration, UV Certificates, export documentation, customer queries, returns and credit requests

 

The Person

To be successful in the role of Sales Order Process Specialist, you will:

  • Previous experience with sales order processing, project administration, internal sales or sales administrator role within a fast-paced engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Experience working at speed and high-volume sales orders is crucial for this role
  • Ideally proficient with SAP
  • Someone from an RS Components, CEF type background handling volume sales orders would be ideal
