Job Title – Service Coordinator

Location - Newark

Package - £35k per annum, plus Pension and 29 days of holiday (including Bank Holidays)

Hours – Monday to Friday (9am – 5:30pm)

Our client are one the world’s leading manufacturers of heavy plant equipment used in construction and civil engineering works. With 8 manufacturing plants around the globe, they supply their product range worldwide and are a world-renowned name in their field.

This multi billion pound business supply both new and refurbished machinery across the whole market sector, from small construction firms to multi-million pound civil engineering businesses. Thanks to resurgence in medium and large scale Civil Engineering projects across the country they are now recruiting across the board to meet this higher demand.

The Role

The Service Coordinator will be responsible for managing the day to day movements of Field Service Engineers across the UK. They will be the first point of contact for the customers who have suffered a machine failure or breakdown. The Service Coordinator will need to do an initial fault find over the phone with the customer to try and ascertain what is wrong, then arrange for one of the Field Service Engineers to attend the site.

The Service Coordinator will also be responsible for briefing the Engineers prior to the site visit, as well as arranging for any additional parts to be delivered to site that will be necessary for the repair. If the equipment cannot be fixed on site, the Service Coordinator will need to arrange for collection and transportation back to the main Workshop in Newark for repair, as well as replacement equipment to be send.

Once repairs have been completed, the Service Engineer will need to log all details on the system from the Service report and issue any invoices if required.

The Candidate

  • Must have previous experience working coordinating repairs of Machinery.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to understand technical information.
  • Must have excellent IT skills.
