Workshop Mechanical Fitter
Lancashire
Rates: £18 - £20p/h (Ltd/Umbrella)
I am currently working with a client in Lancashire, who specialise in the design, build and supply of bespoke, special purpose, machinery for sheet metal working. This role will see you assist with fitting and assembly activities, working on a day shift, with the potential of overtime.
As a skilled Mechanical Fitter, you will require to conduct the following duties:
v Ability to read complex engineering drawings/schematics to tight tolerances
v Assemble and fit all aspects electrically and mechanically to ensure fit for purpose
v Proven ability with high volume parts and moving components etc for complex automated machinery build
v Building panels, wiring, fitting sensors
v Ensure all paperwork/job cards are filled out correctly and part lists are correct
The successful Mechanical Fitter will need to have the following attributes:
v A strong team player
v Experience within a special purpose or automated machinery environment
v Strong communication skills, with a keen eye for Health, Safety and Quality.
v You will ideally be apprentice trained with a Mechanical engineering background or NVQ Level 3 Engineering.
