The Company:
A large and well-established manufacturing company, this business designs, develops and manufactures innovative plastic packaging solutions. They have a full order book and can offer unrivalled job security in these uncertain times.
The plant has several different manufacturing processes, and you will get the opportunity to develop your skills on a wide range of bespoke machinery and equipment. You will predominantly be working on injection moulding machines.
The Role:
Working days and afters (Mon-Fri 6-2 & 2-10) you will be expected to:
- Perform day-to-day delivery of maintenance tasks, specifically preventative/predictive maintenance, and corrective maintenance and conduct performance improvement initiatives.
- Provide effective and efficient support to the Engineering Supervisor and Maintenance Team including the compilation of end of shift reports, root cause analysis, fault logging and data entry.
- Identify the root cause of faults/breakdowns and prioritise corrective actions.
- Monitor and review day-to-day equipment performance and improve outputs.
- Take the lead in optimisation initiative and play an integral role in continuous improvement.
- Electronic fault finding, hydraulic fault finding, mechanical strip downs, PPM work and occasional small-scale electrical installation jobs, to safety checks and inspections.
The Person:
- Electrically qualified to NVQ 3 minimum
- Automated factory maintenance experience
- FMCG background
- Excellent fault-finding skills
