Work to improve yield, scrap, right first time, material cost, efficiency and other business metrics as required. Provide support for employees, external customers, or suppliers with regard to process performance and product quality and conformance to both internal and external specifications. Carry out root cause analysis into special cause events that adversely affect product quality or process performance. Identify and implement corrective and preventive actions specifically designed to improve product conformance to specification and process capability in collaboration and agreement with process owners, operators and suppliers as appropriate. Support new customer enquiries by determining capability through existing knowledge, experience, or data, and carry out new product development where appropriate. Review material referred for quality reasons in a timely manner and action appropriately Develop, implement, validate and continuously improve methods of manufacture which are capable of meeting requirements for safety, quality, cost and lead time.
