ATA are supporting a large UK manufacturing group who looking to recruit a maintenance engineer to join their team in Leicestershire.  Established in the 60s and steeped in British history, the group employs over 2000 people across 15 manufacturing plants and are responsible for producing some of the UKs best known and well-loved products in their industry.

This site will be state-of-art and will be underpinned by serious investment with cutting edge technology nowhere else to be seen in the UK.  The company are experiencing a fantastic period of growth, quickly recovering from the mist of the COVID19 pandemic with plans to invest across a proportion of their other manufacturing plants, this includes the upgrading of machinery, facilities, and safety systems.

They are now looking to speak to maintenance engineers of a mechanical biased to join their team.

About the role

As a maintenance engineer you will be responsible for ensuring that all plant machinery is running effectively.  This will be maintaining cutting edge technology including robotic cells. And other PLC controlled equipment.

-        Planned preventive maintenance.

-        Mechanical component strip and rebuild.

-        Welding, fabrication and machining.

-        Project work and installation.

-        Mechanical fault finding.

-        Root cause analysis and continuous improvement.

About you

To be considered for this maintenance engineer role you should be/have the following:

  • Experience working within a factory environment.
  • A bias working towards mechanical maintenance.
  • Ability to fault find on automated machinery.
  • Be comfortable working in an industrial environment.
  • Be happy to work on a days and night’s rotation.
  • You should hold a recognised level 3 (or above) mechanical engineering qualification city and guilds, NVQ, BTEC, HND, HNC.
