Position: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. 

Salary: £38,000 - £39,000 per annum.

Location: Hams Hall, Birmingham.

Shifts: Panama pattern. Days and nights.

The company:

Our client is a market leader who specialises in supplying the construction industry. They boast huge turn overs and job security. The business currently has 17 sites across the UK and actively exceeds targets and meets orders in an organised time frame. The site we are recruiting for specialises in the creation and distribution of a product widely needed within construction. This is a perfect time for any Maintenance Engineer looking for job stability and career progression.

The role of Maintenance Engineer:

You will be tasked with the daily maintenance of all plant equipment strictly on a mechanical basis. The role is ideal for any hands-on engineer. Given the nature of the role, a strong welding experience is needed.

The day to day will consist of:

  • Preventative maintenance duties.
  • Reactive maintenance purely within a mechanical aspect.
  • Fault finding.
  • Chain driven equipment.
  • Various components such as gear boxes, hydraulics, rollers and much more.
  • Fanuc robotics.
  • Heat treatment equipment.
  • Allen Bradley PLC’s.

The plant has over 160 production staff meaning strong communication skills will be needed. You’ll be expected to fault find on an array of machines whilst demonstrating working safely. Our client offers an in-depth induction and industry leading training.

A successful candidate:

A successful application for this Maintenance Engineer opportunity will need, strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail. Our client is looking for someone who shares their drive for success.

  • A Level 3 or equivalent.

A background in a similar environment would be ideal but, not essential.
