I am currently on the lookout for a ‘New Product’ Mechanical Design engineer on a 3-month contract for a key client based in West Yorkshire. My client are leaders in the design, manufacture and install of high-speed automated machinery & robotics. They are actively seeking the following:
Duties:
- All aspects of design on Autodesk Inventor 3D
- Taking a concept and turning into a realistic design from blank sheet
- Assisting design reviews and making necessary adjustments
- Ensuring design project specifications are met
- Supporting R&D tweaking designs and working on parts for machines
The successful person will need to have the following attributes:
- Knowledge of complex assemblies of machined parts, fabrication & sheet metal
- Experience of concept design work
- Strong mechanical engineering background
- Competent Autodesk Inventor user
- Motivated with a keen eye for detail
