Orbital Gas Welder - Burton upon Trent
Permanent – £16.48 - £17.85 p/h (Overtime paid at 1.5x and 2x)
Plenty of Overtime Available (Average Earnings approx £45k-£50k per annum)

This impressive company has experienced some excellent growth over the last 5 years having diversified into several different markets. Following some recent project wins, the requirement for new product has dramatically increased and the business needs to grow their manufacturing headcount to ensure that they deliver to their clients on time. This business is now looking for new Orbital Gas Welders to add to the team to help sustain this growth into the future. The Pipework Welders will be responsible for the following.
- Operating the Orbital Gas Welding machines
- TIG Welding of stainless-steel equipment
- Welding of pipework, fittings, gauges and valves
- Most pipework is 2mm-10mm thickness
- Working from engineering drawings including P&ID’s
- 37.5 hours a weekend standard, expect an additional 10-12 hours overtime per week
The Orbital Gas Welders must possess the following skills to be considered for this role:
- Previous experience of operating Orbital Gas Welding machines or with pipework welding experience
- Willingness to work 50+ hours
- Happy to stay away 2-3 times a year for installation projects – up to 14 days at a time
- Flexible, good work ethic, autonomous, use own initiative
