As part of a group with an international presence and boasting over £70m in annual sales, the energy division formulates a key part of the group achieving its 4-year growth strategy.
This unique business not only provides specialised workforce solutions, but the mobilisation of skilled Engineers to support key energy clients that underpin the UK’s 2050 Net Zero target.
This organisation also offers a skilled labour workforce, deployment of tools and equipment, training of Engineers and performance management of all staff on behalf of the client.
With multiple investments supporting the UK 2050 Net Zero strategy, my client is looking to recruit a dynamic and sales-focussed Sales Manager to develop, lead and execute a sales strategy that will allow the Energy Division to maximise on new contract wins from within the EV, decarbonisation and renewables market sector.
Working as part of a group with over 50 years of trading history and a dedicated team of energy experts, your role will initially be a hands-on sales role with a large emphasis on new business development. As the Energy Division is looking to double its current £multi-million turnover, you will play a pivotal role in the business securing new contract wins with key EV and renewables clients.

Key Accountabilities – Sales Manager Energy:
- The Sales Manager will establish, lead, manage an executive and business growth strategy for key energy clients
- Responsible for improving the Energy Divisions market position and ultimately securing financial growth for the business, through identifying new business opportunities, building key customer relationships and winning high-volume contracted works
- You will be required to research the market, specifically within the EVCP (electric vehicle charging point), EV, Solar-PV and renewables sector (wind and domestic heating)
- You will be heavily involved in new business development, market mapping, market segmentation and market development
- Lead and manage the bid/tendering process, assist with setting up SLAs/KPIs and work with the Head of Resourcing and Account Managers to ensure effective management
- Delivery and maintenance of the accounts and building relationships with customers
- Post-sales contract management and customer development
- Lead and manage all marketing initiatives supported by the Head of Energy and the Group Marketing Team
Requirements – Sales Manager Energy
- A proven track record in new business development and sales management
- The ideal Sales Manager will have a sales track record within the energy sector – EV, EVCP, Solar-PV, renewables, domestic heating, ASHP, GHSP or anything energy-related
- My client is also open to recruiting sales professionals with experience in winning and securing large-scale contracts such as facilities management or any other technical services type contract
- A new business hunter mentality and an expert in strategic sales planning
- Comfortable presenting to customers face to face and extensive travel throughout the UK
