Site Manager – Contract position
Location – Great Yarmouth
Length of contract - 3-6 months
Rate of pay - £350 - £400 per day DOE (Ltd co. outside IR35)
Heavy engineering / Installation & Commission / fabrication / contracts management
I am working with a key Engineering design, manufacturer and site installations client, whose head office is based in South Yorkshire. They are looking for a Site Manager for a key site services contract to start ASAP, for approximately 3-6 months, in Norfolk
For this position of Site Manager, you will require to conduct the following duties:
v Contract coordination
v Site Management, ideally having worked as a Planning Supervisor/CDM Coordinator on various plants within a project related environment, preferably incorporating mechanical/electrical/hydraulic installation.
v Working experience of NEC contracts
v Fully conversant with the Health & Safety at Work Act and CDM regulations
v Preparing site programmes using Microsoft Project, risk assessments and method statements
v Managing the refurbishment, and installation of a variety of large complex structures/moving equipment which includes drives, gears, valves, pumps etc
The Site Manager will need to have the following attributes:
v HND/HNC or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering
v SMSTS card
v Have excellent communication skills and be able to relate to both client and workforce scenarios
v Commercial awareness
v RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements) from first principles
v CDM Regs
v NEC projects
v 5-10 years’ experience ideally
