I am recruiting for a global, world leading design & manufacturing & installation organisation. Due to ongoing projects in the business, they are looking for a Software Controls Project Engineer on an interim basis. Initially there is a commitment of 3 to 6 months, but this is very likely to be extended due to project scope for a successful candidate:
For the position of Project Engineer – Software Controls, you will require to conduct the following daily duties:
- Able to deliver complex projects including materials handling & automation equipment
- Liaise with clients and sub-contractors
- Commissioning of complex systems across UK & Europe
- Deliver on time & cost constraints
- Programming on Siemens TIA Portal
- Report into the Project Manager & Engineering Manager regarding all project matters
The successful Project Engineer – Software Controls, will need to have the following attributes:
- Strong appreciation of automation solutions and bespoke handling machinery
- Proven experience of running engineering projects
- Expert in the use and knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal
- Understanding of LV distribution
- An astute professional, strong relationship and interpersonal skills
- Qualified to degree level – automation/software/mechatronics preferable
- A team player, who strives for excellence
