My background in recruitment

I’ve had a roller coaster of a journey within recruitment working both regionally and nationally! I have been working at ATA for 5 years now (time certainly flies!) recruiting solely within the maintenance market. Dealing with both candidates and clients on a day to day bases has given a depth of knowledge to allow me to get a real handle within the industry and what makes a good and bad engineer. On top of this I have had the pleasure to see first hand exactly what the life of an engineer is like within maintenance working alongside my dad for a week who is a Maintenance Supervisor for RS component at the distribution Centre.

I can help you with

Over the last 5 years working for ATA I have recruited across most sectors in engineering and manufacturing. My main focus has been on FMCG, Food and Automated Logistics with some of my clients being some of the largest in the world.

Last year I successfully delivered and supported the recruitment of 30+ engineers ranging from Site managers, Engineering manager, Team leader and Maintenance Engineers. With the nature of the market I recruit for, I supply candidates nationally to a number of my clients and with a strong data base, 20+ experienced recruiters and heavy investment in advertising I can provide a detailed bespoke consultative approach to all recruitment to provide the best service possible.

The best part of my job

I love the variety of the role day in day out from going out to see existing clients to new clients. I enjoy build long lasting relationships with both clients and candidates and seeing the industry evolve as it becomes more and more automated! I like the fact that I can carve out a clear career path for people starting out along with giving the more senior guys the next step up.

What I do when I'm not in the office

My best way to shut off tends to be exercise! I am really into my CrossFit and running to keep in shape but have been known to have a game of squash here in there. When I get chance to I do like to go snowboarding. I was fortunate enough to do two seasons snowboarding in Andorra and a summer season in Portugal (it wasn’t 18-30, I’m not that mad!) I am a bit of a social butterfly, I love nothing more than socialising with friends.
