My background in recruitment
I have worked in engineering recruitment for over 8 years, originally recruiting solely in the food industry across engineering, operations, production and supply chain. I have established great relationships with clients over the years who continue to work with me on their recruitment needs.
What I do at ATA Recruitment
I work with both clients and candidates to develop new business and build strong and lasting relationships. I assess candidates needs, covering their career history, technical knowledge, and their motivations and aspirations. When engaging with new clients, I always meet them face-to-face as it enables me to really understand their business and its needs.
The best part of my job
For me, there is nothing better than speaking to a new client that has struggled to fill a position and giving them solutions and ultimately giving them the right candidate for the job.
What I do when I'm not in the office
My weekends are taken up with football, I’m a passionate Spurs fan. When I’m not watching football, I’m coaching a local U10s team which I have been doing for 5 years now.
Having been part of the recruitment process through ATA. I was very impressed from the get go. A 45 minute interview over the phone with Andy to understand if I am the right candidate to fit the role, set the scene. To be told I would be a great fit actually made me feel anxious. Andy offered great support throughout the interview, using techniques that made me feel at ease thus helping the conversation flow, and allow me to put my best self forward. Throughout the conversation we discussed my strengths and weaknesses. Andy provided some great techniques on how to work through these. Any phone call was answered on the same day, and any further support was never an issue. Now having worked in the role Andy helped me secure, and seeing the vetting process, I know without a doubt that the calibre of candidate that Andy puts forward will be outstanding. As well as this, I have been very meticulous and demanding with the person/specification of the engineers I have asked Andy to recruit for me, not only to fit the role from a competency perspective but to have the right attitude. Given a lean market when it comes to engineers, let alone the requirements I have set. Andy "Always delivers more than expected”
