My background
I joined ATA Recruitment in September 2023 with 0 sales experience. In the past, I worked in the marketing department for ATA Recruitment and our sister company Ganymede. Upon hearing the team on the phone, my competitive edge encouraged me to jump into the deep end and see what a future in recruitment could mean for me.
Before the pandemic I worked in a 4 star hotel as a Bar Manager, building relationships with various customers from various backgrounds for various functions. I love being able to chat to people and get to know them. This makes me thrive in knowing that I have changed someone's experience for the better.
I can help you with
I specialise in hiring Maintenance Engineers across the UK into a variety of opportunities with industry leading clients. I hire across many different industries, from highly automated FMCG environments all the way to the food and drink industry.
I thrive in building relationships with candidates and getting to know them down to a T. This means spending that little bit of extra time with them to fully understand why they are looking for a new role and what they want currently as well looking further down the line into their aspirations with their career.
The best part of my job
The best part of my role is getting to know peoples needs and finding the right role for them. I enjoy speaking to people from different backgrounds, learning about their journey and digging into their requirements. I enjoy building long lasting relationships with my candidates, so they can approach me whenever and about whatever their query is. I am a very friendly individual who wants to make the hiring process feel friendly and not like a chore to candidates on the market.
What I do when I'm not in the office
When I am not I the office I love spending my time wisely. I am not the type to sit around and chill, that just isn’t me! In my spare time I play rugby at a competitive standard, playing mainly as a Fly half whilst also being able to play Full Back. When I am not playing rugby I am either (trying to) play golf and having a few beers or watching the football. I am a life long Leicester City fan, travelling home and away when I have the free time.
If then I am not occupied by any of these things, I enjoy travelling with my friends to try different activities. I also like making other people happy. I have raised thousands of pounds through many different activities with my main highlight being cycling from Amsterdam – Paris which is 500 miles in 5 days.
Testimonials
Lewis went above and beyond in dealing with a few agencies. It was nice to be met with the same enthusiasm that I had towards getting a job. He gave me a lot more pride and confidence moving forward with my application, thus resulting in a positive interview and subsequent job offer. Nothing was too much trouble, and he made it clear what the company was looking for and ensured I was the correct fit before putting me forward. Andy also contributed to my interview preparation alongside Lewis, which was extremely beneficial as I had never interviewed before, and they put me at ease. I cannot express my gratitude to both of them enough.
Lewis has been great, 10/10. He's met my needs and found me, from what I can see, a great place to work with a good working routine. He's been supportive throughout the whole process in a friendly, down-to-earth, professional manner.
Lewis was attentive throughout the whole process. From the moment we first spoke, exchanging emails to find out about my situation, and then having frequent phone calls updating me when I would move to the next stage and giving me many tips that were specific to the company I was applying for, he had the knowledge that I needed and conveyed that to me. Furthermore, every question that I had (of which there were many), he was able to answer very quickly. Often getting responses late on weekends, which I did not expect an answer to. Finally, Lewis was supportive and, compared to other recruiters I spoke to, assured me and made me confident that I would secure a role for the right salary.
