Construction Manager
UAE (Middle East)
12–18 month contract (likelihood of extension)
£500 p/d - £550 p/d + expenses (Outside IR35)
Bulk Materials Handling / Process Plant / Construction management
Our client is a UK-based engineering contractor delivering a major aggregates processing plant in the UAE. They require an experienced Construction Manager to lead on-site delivery across civils, steel structures, conveyors and process plant installation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily site activities across mechanical, electrical, structural and civil works
• Oversee installation of conveyors, crushers, screens and steel structures
• Ensure full compliance with CDM, HSE and Zero Harm standards
• Review and manage RAMS, Lift Plans and subcontractor scopes
• Control site permits, site logistics and delivery sequencing
• Lead toolbox talks, progress meetings and site reporting
• Resolve safety, quality and programme issues
Requirements:
• 5–10 years’ experience in heavy engineering or industrial construction
• Strong background in conveyors, steelwork or bulk materials handling
• Experience on aggregates, mining or process plant projects
• Confident managing RAMS, Lift Plans and engineering drawings
• Able to work on a resident or rotational basis in the UAE
Qualifications:
• HNC/HND in Engineering
• SMSTS
• CSCS Black
• First Aid
Desirable:
IOSH / NEBOSH, commissioning, AutoCAD, ATEX / DSEAR, ISO 9001 & 14001
