Shifts: Double Day shift.

ATA are working with the World’s Largest Automotive group, Toyota Motor Manufacturing at their world class manufacturing plant in Deeside, Flintshire. TMUK are an established member of Toyota global group, accounting for an impressive £3B of the groups £210B annual turnover. They have two UK sites, one facility in Derby which produces the fantastic Corolla vehicle range, and their manufacturing plant here in Wales which is home to Europe’s first Hybrid Engine technology.

What does a day to day look like for a Continuous improvement engineer on site?

As a Continuous improvement engineer, you will be responsible for making process improvements on a variety PLC controlled machinery, which includes various complex CNC machines, robotics, and conveyor transfer systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Achieving kaizen – Toyotas world renowned continuous improvement process.
  • Analysing, reviewing and process improvement.
  • Utilising other CI tools, including root cause analysis, 5S, LEAN, amongst other.
  • Supporting with complex machinery breakdowns.
  • Electrical and mechanical fault finding
  • Undertaking project work which can include upgrade and new machine installation.
