Role: Controls Engineer
Location: Hayes
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
Shifts: Monday to Friday (Flexible Hours and Days of Work)

The Company:
Our client are a well established Manufacturing business that currently have a need to add a Controls Engineer to their highly automated manufacturing facility based in West London. This is a new position within the business and has come about due to the continued growth of the company and investment in the Engineering function. The site is now going through a period of change with multiple projects ongoing to improve the site across the board making it an exciting time to join the business. This opportunity is fantastic for an Engineer who wants to get his teeth stuck and really drive forward change within a company.
The Role:
The Role of Controls Engineer will include the following responsibilities:
- Fault Finding on Siemens PLCs, Reading Ladder Logic and making modifications to programmes to improve efficiencies
- Working on Communication Network systems including Profibus, Profinet and Modbus
- Being a Lead Engineer on site for breakdowns that the Maintenance team struggle to solve
- Working on Shop Floor looking at the reliability of Assets and looking to improve this with the support of the Engineering Management team and the Maintenance Planner
- Working alongside another Controls Engineer to ensure the smooth running of the Automation of the site
The Candidate:
The Right Candidate for the role of Controls Engineer will have the following:
- Experience working with Siemens PLC systems
- Confident Fault Finding and working Electrically as you will be seen as one of the technical leads on site.
- Have an avid interest in automation
- Be happy to work well within a team environment
- A track record of making improvements to machinery
