Mechanical Design Draughtsperson – Autodesk Inventor
Process equipment manufacturer – Burton Upon Trent
PAYE - £25-£28 per hour + Holiday Pay
Umbrella - £28-£35 per hour
3–6-month contract with possible extensions.
This well-established process manufacturer is the market leader in its sector and following some significant project wins, they are going through a rapid growth phase. The design team are now starting to work on several new projects for their major clients, workload has increased and there is a real need to maintain the quality of product that it delivers. As a result, this company needs to recruit a Mechanical Draughtsperson to help with a project immediately on a contract basis. The role of a Mechanical Draughtsperson will involve:
- Mechanical draughting in 3D using Autodesk Inventor
- Produce 3D general arrangement drawings and manufacturing drawings
- Produce drawings from data sheets and designs from engineering
- Some modification of existing drawings
- Working on process equipment such as pipework, flanges, vessels and other ancillary equipment
- Produce Bills of Material in conjunction with the drawings
- Responsible for purchase order requisitions as well
- Liaise with internal & external teams
The Mechanical Draughtsperson will need to have the following experience:
- Mechanical Draughtsperson with Autodesk Inventor experience
- 3D draughting experience
- Worked on process equipment previously, for example Vessels, Pipework and Flanges etc.
- Capability to work independently
- Creative ability and hardworking
- Desire and ability to learn and pick up the product knowledge as quickly as possible
