Electrical Assembly Technician - North Yorkshire
6-month contract
Rates: £19.70p/h PAYE; OR £25.00p/h Umbrella
Precision Engineering / electrical build / bespoke / O&G / marine
I am recruiting for a key client, and a highly reputable business in North Yorkshire, who are recruiting for Electrical Technicians, on a 6-month contract basis, to assist with the build of high integrity projects. My client is a leading OEM within precision industrial engineering markets, supplying a high end / high value product to their customers globally.
For this position, you will require to conduct the following daily duties:
v Assemble electronic/electrical subassemblies from schematic diagrams, drawings or verbal instructions and following works order instructions
v Wire and solder wiring harness and cable assemblies, PC boards, SMT, transformer assemblies, control consoles, connectors
v Carry out heavy-duty cable wiring, deck cable assembly, and control system outfitting
v Complete all necessary documentation according to the requirements
v Ensures assembly/sub assembly build times are met for major project schedule
The successful person will need to have the following attributes:
v Ideally apprentice trained or ONC Electronic/electrical engineering, and 18th edition wiring regs would be advantageous
v Worked with Low voltage AC/DC panel wiring/looming; High voltage installations; Control/Data systems; Fibre Optic handling/termination
v An industrial and manufacturing assembly background
v Strong computer literacy – Microsoft, excel etc
v A team player, with a right first-time attitude, and strives for excellence
v Experience within precision engineering – working to tight tolerances
