Salary - £30k + overtime paid at £21.75 per hour after 39 hours - OTE £40k - £80k (unlimited overtime)

The Business

Our client is one of the World’s largest manufacturers and distributers of Refrigeration, Freezer and Hot Counter equipment for Supermarkets across the globe. The business supply to all the major Supermarkets in the UK as well as smaller independent traders.

Despite the pandemic the business has continue to grow and expand, currently selling over 230,000 units per year worldwide with a turnover in excess of £900 million a year. Thanks to this continued growth their Service Team now require an additional Electrical Engineer to join their South West Team.

The Role

The Electrical Engineer will be required to attend between two and three site visits a day to attend breakdowns on equipment. Breakdowns range from general electrical faults, failed motors, lighting failures, failed heaters, temperature sensor issues, fan failures, power supply issues, failed or ill-fitting seals and doors.

The Electrical Engineer will not be required to work on the Refrigeration Systems as this is dealt with by a separate team of engineers, however they will need to be able to read electrical drawings, working on single phase electrical systems, fault find with a multimeter, use hand tools and perform basic mechanical fitting tasks.

The business provides full product training, as well as the option to complete 18th Edition, JIB and PAT testing Qualifications. As such they are interested in speaking to Candidates from a variety of backgrounds.

  • have a recognised Electrical Qualification
  • be able to fault find with a multimeter
  • be able to read electrical drawings
  • be willing to travel and stay away when required
