THE COMPANY

ATA are currently in search of an electrical maintenance engineer for our client based in West Yorkshire. This business is a market leader within the textiles industry and due to their success now have multiple sites throughout the UK. Annually they are turning over £232 million in revenue with future plans for further investments into the site as well as their engineering team.

THE ROLE OF AN ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER.

The job responsibilities will consist of:

  • Responsible for the electrical and some mechanical maintenance of all production equipment.
  • Ensure that any electrical problems are rectified as a priority, aiding with mechanical problems.
  • Participate in planned preventative maintenance.
  • Fault finding and repair of all plant, machinery and equipment.
  • Liaise with external contractors.
  • Carry out checks and inspection of plant, machinery and equipment.
  • Liaising closely with production team.
  • Involvement in capital expenditure and continuous improvement projects.
  • Ensuring all equipment meets company, legal and health & safety requirements.
  • Communicating unscheduled downtime to the Maintenance Manager and the reasons with solutions.
  • All works performed following a 'clean as you go' ethic in accordance with good manufacturing practice.
  • Responsible for ensuring the workshop and individual toolboxes are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Identification of improvements that can be made to production lines, individual machinery or other operations.
  • Ensuring that engineering supplies requested are appropriate to engineering works being carried out.
  • Managing engineering supplies inventory and re-ordering when required in line with agreed budget.
  • Gain an in-depth knowledge of the site, equipment and processes

THE IDEAL ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER.

 

We are looking for an electrical maintenance engineer who:

  • has completed their NVQ level 3 electrical qualification or above
  • Has completed an apprenticeship.
  • Has experience working in a factory setting.
  • Is confident reading schematic drawing’s.
