Position:  Maintenance Engineer - (Electrically biased or multi-skilled.)

Location: Birmingham.

Salary per annum: £36,000 - 37,000.

6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm shifts / Rotated.

Maintenance Engineer duties:

Carrying out reactive maintenance on the production equipment and machines across the site. The role, during the day, will consist mostly of reactive maintenance. PPM time is scheduled during off peak hours. You will be expected to have a keen eye for detail and to have experience with PLC’s. A successful maintenance engineer will need to understand the urgency to react quickly, thus ensuring a constant working production line.

  • Multi-head weighers
  • Linear weighers
  • Vertical form fillers
  • Metal detection
  • Flow wrappers
  • Conveyors
  • Stretch wrappers
  • Barcode Printers
  • Labelling machinery

You will also be expected to have a good understanding of electrical components, whilst demonstrating a strong fault-finding technique.

The company will ensure you receive full, in-depth training on site.


A successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer:



Electrical - Level 3 or equivalent.

Our client is looking for someone who has experience working within a food safe environment. You will be expected to demonstrate a good knowledge of the key components of a working FMCG production line. A good candidate would be willing to be hands on and constantly trying to better their skills.
