The Company

Our client has been established for over 100 years and is the world leader in the manufacture of chemical products. With a global presence recognised across 100 countries, they are committed to providing high-quality products, all manufactured within their state-of-the-art plant in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.

As a company that pride themselves on being at the forefront of technology, their innovative products deliver tried and tested solutions for the modern car enthusiasts both on small and large scale.

Due to huge expansion earlier in 2018, our client now requires a Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team already well established team.

The Role

The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for all electrical and mechanical fault finding and rectification work on production systems site wide. This will include fault diagnosis on drive systems, motors, relays, contactors and sensors. You may also be responsible for some mechanical work including replacing gearboxes, shafts, pulleys and bearings.

The role will be about 30% project work and a focus on CI so this role would be perfect for someone who enjoys getting stuck in to new things on a regular basis.

Production equipment includes silos, mixers, process plant, conveyor systems, weighing machinery, canning lines and pumps.

The Candidate

To be successful in your application you must have the following skills, abilities or qualifications:

  • Must have previous experience working as an Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
  • Ideally a recognised Apprenticeship, City & Guilds Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3

The client is particularly keen to hear from anyone who has experience in the following:

  • ATEX or COMPEX qualification
  • Previous experience working within an explosive environment would be a huge advantage
  • Packaging or process control equipment

Training

As part of the induction, the successful Maintenance Engineer would receive fantastic initial training alongside a more Senior Engineer to fully understand the processes. There is also the opportunity for the successful Maintenance Engineer to receive ATEX training.
