Maintenance Engineer 

Location - Birmingham

Salary - £35,000  OTE 40K plus callout + pension, 33 days holidays and excellent overtime

Training available – On Various OEM Equipment and qualifications available

Shifts Available –  Days role 8:30 – 4:30pm Monday – Friday

Overview Maintenance Engineer Role

You will be working in a heavy industry environment working on conveyors, extruders, PLCs, heating equipment, presses, heat transfer equipment, mixing equipment and silos.

Carrying out reactive maintenance on production equipment and machines across all the production facilities. The role will be 70% reactive and 30% PPM driven. You will be encouraged to have a direct input into the continuous improvement culture and have individual project ownership as you grow your career within the

Carry out immediate repairs of production equipment and machines in the case of breakdowns with regards to all elements of failure. You will be responsible for maintaining PLC driven automated plant machinery within the factory and all 3 phase equipment (415v).

The Candidate

The Maintenance engineer formally qualified Electrical.

• Electrical preventative and reactive maintenance work in an industrial environment.

• Electrical plant installation and modification work in an industrial environment.

• Statutory inspections.

• The use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.

• The ability to use and interpret equipment drawings, manuals and other technical information to assist with all works.

• High voltage experience would be advantageous along with instrumentation experience

Experience working in a heavy industry will be preferred but not essential.
