Electrical Bias Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer.

LOCATION: Based in South Yorkshire

SALARY: £37,000K - £38,000K annual salary + overtime (PLENTY OF IT!!)  is available with the potential to boost your annual income up to £42,000K +

HOURS OF WORK: Working hours are Monday to Friday – shift work, includes working 1 in 4 weekends per month.

HOLIDAYS: 23 days annual leave, rising to 25 days after 3 years; plus 8 days bank holiday

THE COMPANY

ATA recruitment is working with a manufacturing company who are looking for an electrical multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join their team in the South Yorkshire region. The business produces bespoke goods for private clients as well as large contractors.

 As part of a larger group with over 1000 employee’s and a £190 million turnover, this site is a fully automated FMCG manufacturing plant, and houses state of the art bespoke machinery.

THE ROLE OF A MULTI-SKILLED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

As an electrical multi-skilled maintenance engineer your role will be:

  • Repairing and maintaining bespoke machinery onsite
  • Planned and reactive maintenance
  • Working on electrical systems such as AC/DC drives, inverters, relays contactors.
  • Mechanically you will be working on bearings, shafts, chains, pulleys, motors.
  • You will be fault finding on PLC equipment

THE IDEAL MULTI-SKILLED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

As an electrical multi skilled maintenance engineer, you should have an electrical NVQ level 3, along with experience obtained from the Army or Navy or in a factory setting, preferably FMCG. We are searching for someone who is electrically biased but with strong mechanical skills and is confident working on their own, as well as part of a team. The role is very hands on and will require someone who can hit the ground running with the electrical and mechanical work. My client is also keen on speaking to ex forces or who are due to be released from the Navy/Army.

The successful electrical multi-skilled maintenance engineer should be confident with maintaining automated paint plants, edge banding drills, assembly halls, robotic storage systems and other variations of machinery.

Candidates must have a keen interest and passion for engineering and a desire to develop their skillset and knowledge.

Desired skills:

  • Electrical fault finding skills and using a PLC to find faults.
  • Factory maintenance experience or electrical skills.
