Are you an organised and proactive individual with a keen eye for detail? My client are creating a brand-new role to support the Engineering Manager, by taking ownership of key administrative and coordination tasks to help streamline day-to-day operations within the engineering function.
About the Role
As an Engineering Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of engineering activities. This role is being introduced to take some of the workload off the Engineering Manager’s hands, allowing him to focus on core technical priorities. Your contribution will help improve efficiency, organisation, and communication across the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Support with updating and maintaining the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System).
- Create and manage method statements and ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Review and check RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) for compliance and clarity.
- Assist with stock control and help organise and maintain the engineering stores efficiently.
- Coordinate administrative tasks to improve workflow and resource management.
- Perform data analysis to support decision-making and identify trends or areas for improvement.
- General support to the Engineering Manager, stepping in to take ownership of tasks as the role evolves.
About You
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with systems, data, and documentation.
- A proactive problem-solver who enjoys bringing structure and efficiency.
- Able to adapt as the role grows and evolves over time.
- Previous experience in an engineering, maintenance, or technical admin role would be an advantage, but not essential training will be provided.
